The Leningrad Codex is the oldest surviving complete copy of the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Bible, dated 1008. This text is based on a transcription of the the Leningrad Codex of the Hebrew Scriptures, or Old Testament. This simplified text retains only the consonants.
